I have been training at Healthy Lifestyle Clinic for the past 6 months under the guidance of Simon, and also Marco and Scotty. Since I have started training there they have changed my life. They have done this by creating a lifestye for me were I have much better balance in my life, between work, exercise, and better eating habit.

I have a background as professional and semi professional sports person and more recently have managed an operated my own small business for past 4 years. So people often ask me why I use a personal training gym instead of training by myself? My answer is the results speak for themselves. Since training there I have lost over 10 kgs, (thanks Simon my trainer), I can touch my toes (thanks to yoga with Sky) and feel much strong and leaner through my core (thanks to pilates with Carly). From a more practical view I have had to tighten the belt by 2 notches and all my clothes feel much more comfortable which is a great feeling. I have also been able to compete in events like, the Southbank to Southport 100km cycling race, the Byron bay ocean swim classic 2.2km, and the Gold Coast Marathon. I would never have imagined myself being able to complete these events. I have found that the training variety is much better at HLC. In the six months I have trained there I haven't done one session that is the same. I believe that it is this variety that has kept me motivated and wanting to train more. Because it is not just the personal training. Since joining I have done yoga sessions with Sky, Pilates with Carly and cycling with Marco. I have never tried doing this type of training before but I can confirm that it works. I have also found the big difference is training within a smaller gym where the service is excellent and the there is a real culture of success. All the trainers there are really friendly and geniunally care for your needs. By having this better one on one service and training with someone like Simon rather than training by myself has pushed much harder and he motivated me to extend myself further than I otherwise would when training by myself.

The cost of training with HLC have been easily repaid to me. I am now feeling much more motivated and productive at work. I am on track to smash my previous best result for my business which will return to me financially. But there are far more non monetary benefits that cant have a dollar value placed on them. I have now created a lifestyle that is far more balanced. Where I am looking after myself much better physically through healthy exercise, I feel much better mentally for that and I am achieving more at work which deliver the financials benefits.

I joined Healthy Lifestyle Clinic hoping to increase my fitness level and gain muscle tone all over. I thought I had always been reasonably active but it surprised me how far I came in such a short amount of time training with Nathan, he has encouraged me to try other forms of exercise which I now love i.e. walking, running, bike riding and swimming. Nathan has given me the encouragement and support I needed to extend my abilities and push myself; I have gained muscle tone and feel great about myself. Now I have core strength, balance and the confidence to attempt any new task at work and in life. I am more opened minded and feel I am enjoying more out of life mentally and physically.

4 years ago, my husband and I joined up with Healthy Lifestyle Clinic to stay fit. What we didn’t realise was the warm welcoming atmosphere that would be provided, where friends are made and it feels as though you have an extended family. In no time, our whole family had joined the Clinic.

Healthy Lifestyle is run by a professional group of motivated people that cater to all levels of fitness. They set realistic goals and follow through with you on your target. The program that I am on is enjoyable and challenging every week. Each trainer explains all exercises and have a great deal of knowledge on the workings of the body. I love the variety of my program.

I highly recommend Healthy Lifestyle Clinic for anyone that is looking for a warm friendly atmosphere, while enjoying the challenges that being fit offers.

I met Marco about four months ago and with his help, made the decision to start training, eat better and improve my life. We set a goal to complete the Noosa Triathlon in November so I have three sessions a week at the clinic and also have a program to complete at home and on the weekends that is geared towards that event. Training includes boxing, bike, weights, cardio sets, core strength drills, swimming and running, and although I am pushed to the limit each time, I look forward to my sessions every week and feel great afterwards! The trainers are also very flexible with their time, and are willing to fit around last minute work commitments.The goals we have set together as a team are realistic and long term, based on dedication and hard work. Under the watchful gaze of the lovely Nathan, Simon and Marco, my strength and cardio fitness has improved dramatically and I am now up to completing a 5 km run in a Friday session, working my way to 10 km, something I never thought I would do again! I have lost almost 25 cm off my hips and look much more fit and toned. Although I still have a long way to go to reach my goal weight, I feel happier and more confident than I have in years, and it’s inspiring when people notice the difference! Four months ago, competing in the Noosa Tri seemed impossible. Now I can’t wait to get out there!

Prior to my 60th birthday I decided my body needed an upgrade. So I joined HLC – I thought just for a few months – to get my body into the gown I had chosen to wear. I did achieve what I was after but by then I realised that there was more to keeping fit than just a gown. With consultations with the many talented trainers at HLC I have been able to modify my diet and I have made the exercise regimes part of my daily life. Each trainer has brought a different style which suits me as I like variety. There is also the relationships that have been formed both at the gym and away from it. I recently travelled overseas on an adventure tour to Japan and found that I was able to keep up with the younger members of the group on our very long and arduous walks. I would not have been able to do this without the fitness level I have achieved.

Before I started attending boxing I was a lump of tight muscles, a little bit of flab and a whole bunch of stress. Box-ercise has helped me a great deal in all three of these. I have time to punch up with my kids, allowing me to relieve my stress, and getting hit by them definitely helped loosen up some of the tight muscles. Seriously though, boxing has helped me get into great shape, fitness wise and stress wise and I certainly am a much fresher person now, and I owe a lot of this to the great team at healthy lifestyle.

I joined Healthy Lifestyle Clinic, almost 6 years ago, looking to lose weight and increase my general level of fitness.

My main motivation was to be fit enough to enjoy ski holidays, keep up with my kids and to be fit and healthy. Although I was prepared to do almost anything to achieve my goals, it was the constant motivation from the team at Healthy Lifestyle Clinic that has got me to where I am today.

For the past 3 1/2 years, I have trained with Natasha and Marco twice per week. With their help I started running, initially just a few hundred metres, to a complete circuit of the block and finally to competing in several events. My first longer run was the 10km run at the 2006 Gold Coast Marathon. This was followed by a 14km Bridge to Brisbane run. I have since completed the 21km Gold Coast Half Marathon twice (2007, 2008). This year I plan to complete the full marathon, 42km of joy.

During this time I have lost over 15kg and feel fantastic, when the sessions stop!

Healthy Lifestyle for us is about overall fitness, body, mind and soul. We come to train hard but with that we manage to incorporate laughter
into our sessions which is also important to us. Unlike a large gym it has a warm and family feel so much so we bring our children here to train as well.

This is an amazing place that we highly recommend to our family and friends.

Since attending training sessions at HLC i have found myself looking forward to them, even at the early start of 6.30am on a Thursday morning in the
middle of winter! I never realised what benefits a personal trainer could have,before starting the training program with HLC. Encouragement, motivating me to train harder and push my boundaries and always keeping variety in our training programs is something I love about HLC. Running, cycling, weight training, boxing, circuit, floor exercises, ball games, triathlons and of course burpies are just some of our activities on offer. Scotty, Marco and Simon who train our group really know us individually and take interest in our personal wellbeing which is so important. It also means they always know when youre really trying or just slacking off!

They are professional, encouraging and make every session fun and different, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to improve their wellbeing and feel great about themselves.
